A proper Ampthill local

A traditional pub in the beautiful market town of Ampthill, Bedfordshire. Passionately chosen cask and craft beers with an inviting warm welcome and table waiting whenever you’re ready. We will be serving home made and locally sourced bar snacks once we are settled and established.

Food & drink

Great pints worth coming for. Bar snacks worth staying for.

Gary’s passion for a great pint shapes the bar: seven hand pulls for cask ale and real cider, Everards seasonal specials, guest ales and an ever-changing craft range. Share a board of world meats and cheeses, enjoy homemade pub favourites, or one of our special evening or weekend events.

Cask, real cider & craft ales

Seven hand pulls are being built into a changing showcase of Everards, guest ales and real cider.

Homemade & locally sourced bar snacks

Evening food from 5–9pm, with sharing boards, pub snacks and special events food.

I like 2 kinds of pubs. ones with flat roofs full of scaffolders in hi viz, and quaint, nice, traditional pubs, and this place is firmly in the latter camp. the service was great, the prices reasonable, and a lot of options when it comes to bar snacks and drinks. properly decent little pub.
